Giovanni Bergamo was born on 23 August 1916, and he is the father of Luciano, Guglielmo and two daughters. After the world war, he opened a carpentry business in 1945. The post-war period was particularly hard but at the same time offered opportunities because everything was needed for reconstruction. The carpentry workshop mainly produced window frames and interior doors.

Giovanni Bergamo founded 3B in Salgareda di Treviso. He was helped by his sons Luciano, who had a particular passion for mechanics, and Guglielmo, who had begun studying at the University of Padua, In the 1950s they built their first shed.

In the 1970s the company was expanded: 3B was a leader in the building industry for the production of formwork panels.
The solid wood panels were yellow in color, the same used in the old 3B logo.

The 1980s saw the development and expansion of production activities in Salgareda, specialising in the production of doors and semi-finished products for the furniture industry. Commercial development abroad began, especially in Europe.
